Wow 🤩 , just wish it happened a bit later in the year. It moved like it was possessed.

It looks like a blow-off top but the higher it goes the higher should be the base of support.

Welp.. target reached. I just sold a chunk to JM Bullion. Time to lock in some profits and figure out what to do next. The price of silver makes very little sense to me over the medium and long term. Since when has silver ever held on to these over exuberant rallies? Yea.. never... In due time I can see silver below 40 an oz again. I always felt that buying metals was the easy part. Knowing when to sell is a lot harder for many.

Don't think so. I remember 1980 and this looks nothing like it. Suspect that we're quickly heading to $120 or higher.

But for how long will it stay that high? I can also see it hitting 120 for a short period of time. Great if it touches it. But what will you do when month after month it starts sinking... and keeps sinking... just hold and hope it goes to 120 again in 10 years?

The current price of silver is a GIFT to people who bought and stacked over the last decade or longer. Talk about a big win if you just let some of it go for a multi bagger profit. I am not going to be buried with this stuff. I want to enjoy it while I am still young. Not 80+ years old and can barely leave the house.

You must not be paying attention to the underlying reasons we are where we are. You will never see $40 silver again.

How long will it stay at or near $100. Its just unknown.

All my purchases of silver were pre 2018. Silver price can sink a lot without troubling me.

I would caution any first time buyer to carefully consider the multiple dollar daily price swings.

I read the news. I read this forum as a lurker. I am aware of the reasons which people seem to always list out in different variations which is a sign of the times. Just like there are always "reasons" in the past. Which those reasons can change in 12-24 months like they always do. The fundamental reasons might mean a higher silver price but not what we see today. Whatever is causing the price spike is not a fundamental reason like industry or what have you. It will change.

But whatever right? Each person has to make up their own minds here. I barely post but just wanted to join in on the 100 dollar celebration silver to say I am starting to sell.

That's where you are wrong. It's all about fundamentals but yes, it will change and probably in many ways.

I'm 80+ and can leave the house quite easily, thank you. I remember when gold was under $100 an ounce and some people were saying much the same thing. I agree that it might make sense to sell some silver for diversification or enjoyment, but not because of what transpired in 1980 when silver reached $204 in inflation-adjusted dollars.

On my Kitco app I see a high of 99.66 and 99.44 currently.

At 8AM this morning JMBullion silver price was $100 and a few cents over $100. I did not flip over to Kitco. They are usually fairly close.

Bought my first oz back in 1986. A 1986 Silver Eagle for $5 and I still have it plus 1 each of '87,'88,'89 and '90. Stacked through the lean years/decades and now here we are. Plus the sun is out!

    It's a great day.

Wow, I take the day off from here and now silver is at $103.26. Great to see.

I seriously doubt we will see $40 silver ever again. If half of what I’m hearing about demand is true and the weakening of the dollar is real we may never see prices below $80 again. Solid state batteries that massive increase range and decrease charging times, data centers, silver for a weapon systems, etc. will continue to drive demand for a metal that is mostly a byproduct of mining for other metals. The huge increase is not about mere investor speculation that can be satisfied with paper but legitimate demand that only physical silver can meet.
