"Double Duty" coins...
How many of you have coins that are counted in more than one set, essentially pulling "double duty". Here is the Draped Bust Large Cent from my 7070 Type Set. It's an 1803 (No Stems Reverse) and will now occupy the space in my Wayte Raymond album as I've begun the process of having coins recertified. How many of you have coins that are represented in more than one set?

Lots actually, coins in a full date/mm set can/are also used in mint/proof sets, multiple type sets, date sets, mintmark sets, and custom sets. This coin is currently being used in some of the multiple sets I listed above.
My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
I have early proof sets that include coins that are included in my proof type sets. I have coins representing birth years of my family back to the 18th century that I include in year sets as well as type sets. I have coins that represent Coinage Acts and First Year of Issue and Last year of Issue that are included in type. I have coins that represent mints that are part of my type sets. I may display these coins either way, depending on whom I’m sharing with. As a type collector I find it a lot more fun and challenging to research and collect “multi-duty” coins.
I have several sets and these are a few of my coins that intersect with my type set and a date or date/MM set:
Only a handful. All of them are die marriages that fit the "Seated half by die marriages" registry as well as the "SLH date and mint" registry. When I first became interested in DM collecting, I sent in about a dozen R3 coins for attribution, thinking collectors might pay more if they are attributed. I stopped doing that because of the high cost to do so, and most SLH collectors are not interested in die marriages anyway. Now, DMs must be at least R5 to merit my paying $20 for an attribution.
These dollars are taking up space in 2 sets. My gold type set and gold dollar set.
I have alot actually. My focus is 20th century, moderns if you will. I have fb Roosies which also have a place in non fb sets. FBL Franklins in non FBL sets, same with full step Jeffersons.
