Need some help with this one.

This late Ottoman Empire coin is one I am having trouble with. Not sure it is a coin, maybe a token of some kind. Date is questionable according to what I could find in Krause. I appreciate the help and learning experience. Dave

It looks similar to a Turkish Kurush (the date numbering in particular), but that’s not exactly what it is.

    Ottoman/Turkiye definitely seems right.

I would suspect token/jeweler's copy. The mintname just looks like a crude simplification of Constantinople (or really the Arabic equivalent).

I concur; it's a "jewellery imitation" of an 18th century Ottoman gold coin. They usually come holed, but this one isn't. Perhaps it was mounted, at that notch at 4 o'clock on the second pic. There were several different gold coin designs during the reign of this Sultan; I believe this item is attempting to imitate one of these: https://en.numista.com/34889

You'd have to get it tested; these jewellery replicas usually aren't actually made of gold.

Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. Be one.
