1979 Topps Ron Cey PSA10. How much?

Recent ebay auction result: $1475.00 !! (not a typo)
Guess I'm not upgrading my Registry Set anytime soon. LOL
Its a POP 5 and PSA10s don't come up for sale often.
Latest was in 2020 according to PSA, with a couple of them selling for around $120.
With recent sales of PSA9s for around $40, that PSA10 is quite a leap. (and I dare say some of those 9's look better)
Who would have thought buying during those peak price Covid days and it then sells for 10X+ 6 years later?

The current belief is that PSA won’t be handing out GEM MINT 10’s like party favors. The value of low population cards will benefit those who sell them.

Seems that their pricing history info is rather inaccurate. There were other sales completed since 2020.

The eBay account is loaded with hundreds of PSA 10s graded back in the good ol' days. Some pretty impressive recent sales, too.
