With the Mint doing away with the penny , Why would they place one in the 2026 mint set ?

Just wondering ?

Oh there will be Lincoln cents for decades to come. Except these Pennies will be sold to us collectors for $5 each. Great plan eh?

    collectors' benefit

the kennedy half wasn't made for circulation for years after 2001. they were still sold in rolls and bags, too. indications are no bags, boxes, rolls for the cent

get yours via the unc mint set. if you want a set you can sign up on the mint's website as a subscription now for fulfillment when they finally come out later in the year

That should be an impeachable offense.
