2026 uncirculated coin sets

If , as advertised, only 190,000 sets of these are produced this year there would seem to be a buying opportunity. A one year only special edition design for semiQ all packaged up neatly together. I signed up for a couple sets - let’s see what happens.

A lot of the subscriptions seem to have 2025 product limits still. Given the semiquincentennial, I would be very surprised if they didn't raise this

I would expect much higher interest in both the unc. and proof sets.

The pardon is for tyrants. They like to declare pardons on holidays, such as the birthday of the dictator, or Christ, or the Revolution. Dictators should be encouraged to keep it up. And we should be encouraged to remember that the promiscuous dispensation of clemency is not a sign of political liberality. It is instead one of those valuable, identifying marks of tyranny.

Silver proof sets are available. Summer release for clad proof and uncirculated sets so I anticipate an April subscription date. Silver sets listed at $ 150 FOR NOW. I'm gonna guess they'll be priced higher. I typically order 5 silver and clad sets, 3 to be broken out for my Dansco albums and two for the safe. Uncirculated I usually order 6 to 8. That way if I see a really nice coin I'll break it out and submit for grading.
    Just my 2 cents.

The question is, whether you buy something simply because it has a lower than average historical mintage, or because you actually like the design and subject matter, or both! (I choose both).

The 2026 designs do look interesting. And they will no doubt sell out on the first day. I'm not a flipper.

For some reason, in the not-so distant past (like 8-10 years ago) some really nice years also had low mintage (eg. 2018 reverse proof silver) and what I consider "high art", and non-political subject (National Parks, ATB: Apostle Islands, Pictured Rocks, Voyagers, Cumberland Island, Block Island). They dont get as much collector interest these days.

I like the 2018 series in particular because I grew up in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan during my youth, and went canoeing and kayaking. The caves at the Apostle Islands are really cool.
