I wasn't trying to accomplish anything just had the bag secured with a rubber band so it fit more compactly in a box with some other silver.

Many happy BST transactions

The eagle looks like he is in a dogfight!
Laser beams and all!
Rubber contains an abundance of petroleum based solvents and this is the result. Not recommended, ever.
That's pretty striking. I like it.
That's brutal 👎
That's pretty cool in my opinion!
Don't send it to PCGS, pretty good shot at 91 (questionable color), despite its known history.
But it is indeed attractive.
Although not a bad look since it has the blue/green/champagne colors in addition to the black toning, rubber band toning usually will not dip off. I made the mistake of having the rubber band on the coin and when I realized what happened, tried to remove with MS70 and E-Z est. Nope.
Yep a 1-2 year old coin will not tone like that under 'normal' conditions.
Wow...and it's on a new Eagle too...that reacted really fast!

Actually, the culprit is sulfur which is used in the Vulcanization process for rubber.
Usually, rubber bands only produce ugly gray and black stripes.
The Original Poster is lucky to at least get some nice color on their silver piece.
