A (minor) Christmas miracle...

I got to spend Christmas day with my grandkid (3 years old) and his siblings...5 and an 8 year old. It was wonderful chaos.lol.
I had gone through a few boxes of halves during the week with literally no finds in any of them.
And put one aside for this weekend.
I ended up going through that last box at about 10pm on xmas day when I got home.

Thought it might be a good one when the first thing I saw was a silver ender :blush:
Some silver and the first silver bicentennial half I've ever found in circulation after decades of searching!

    That 40% Bicentennial is awesome! Nice hunt! I was lucky enough to find the matching 40% Bicentennial Ike back in October, but I'd love to find the half to pair with it

    i think too many know about mining for silver around me

    i have busted boxes and found nothing. then another box comes in and it's a small score

    Yeah, I live right next to the local numismatic association so that might have something to do with it.

    My friend a few hours away gets silvers all the time, and manages to send me a picture of every. single. one. :D Atleast I can flaunt the ridiculous number of 2023 VDB V pennies I get.

    Very nice! I searched two boxes of halves this year. First box had nothing interesting. Second box had a 40 per cent and a 1964 Kennedy. I was quite surprised. Ordered a third box and they are all 2023-D's. They are quite shiny!

    It used to be finding 40% was ok, better than nothing, but now with price as high as it is, about like finding 90% a year or so ago
