2025 Caldera Collection - Ludwig Gies

Hi all -
In the spirit of our 2025 acquisition posts I would like to point you to a presentation I made to the Pacific Coast Numismatic Society that contains high resolution images of my complete Gies holdings to date.

While the presentation lacks a soundtrack (removed for copyright protection) you will see quite a number of medals not seen anywhere else, including from the most prestigious European museums.

I suggest you play some calm, ethereal music as a backdrop while viewing this 40 minute show. Images are kept on screen longer than you'd normally see but that was planned so that the entire medal can be observed closely.

If you can, observe this PowerPoint presentation in the full screen mode.

Enjoy.

Well done- thanks for sharing. I really had no idea how rare these medals are. Are there any production records that survived?

Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
