Autograph Authentication question
Just curious have any of had an autograph signed in front of you and you sent it in for grading and it came back as a fake signature?

An autograph has to not only be authentic, it also has to be authenticatable.
If an autograph deviates enough from recognized styles then the TPAs won't (and shouldn't) pass it.
This is especially an issue when people chase a celebrity down the street or crowd them leaving a venue and get a quick scribble on something. Sure, they saw the celebrity "sign" the item, but the scrawl might not be authenticatable.
