Reports from Cleveland sight an unnamed league source indicated that the Cavs and Clippers may be ready to complete a 3 team deal which would have the Cavs landing Darius Miles and Harold Jamison in exchange for Andre Miller. Sources near both clubs have maintained talks have continued since the draft, but neither would comment on the report saying a deal was ‘news to them’. It’s also unclear who the third team in the deal would be, but league sources say there have been introductory talks with Sacramento regarding Doug Christie heading to the Clippers. The Clippers have enough cap room to absorb Doug’s contract and help the Kings create some breathing room; with talk of the Kings pursuing Donyell Marshall and the still unresolved Mike Bibby situation, if there is a deal - its conceivable the Kings could be the 3rd team. Its also conceivable that Denver’s interest in Ricky Davis may have been stepped up, with rumors indicating Kiki Vandeweghe would be willing to meet Ricky’s asking price (6 years $35-40 million), while Cleveland would like to see a lesser deal with Davis (3 years $18 million). Its conceivable at the end of the day, the Cavs could end up with Miles, Jamison and James Posey… or even Miles, Jamison and Doug Christie. All of these ideas are speculation, but seem to match up with what else is being said about the clubs in mention. More as it develops.

If Seattle wants Rashard Lewis they are going to have to pay him handsomely, because as the days pass by, Lewis is more and more interested in life without an umbrella, than returning to Seattle. After a very nice meeting in Dallas which concluded with private meetings with the players, Lewis had nothing but positive things to say about Dallas and may have tipped his hand when speaking with the Dallas Morning News’ Marc Stein, saying "It's probably going to be between Seattle and Dallas. The Mavericks have a real chance just because of the way they treated me and my family. Everything was first class." When asked about signing shorter term deals for future gains like he did in Seattle, Lewis indicated "It is going to make it harder to do that again, but I think I'm going to do what's best for me and go where I feel most comfortable... There are only three elite teams in the league – Dallas, Sacramento and the Lakers. I think I'm the missing piece to their puzzle." Mark Cuban has repeatedly said he was trying not to get too excited about Lewis coming to Dallas, but felt that Rashard was not using the Mavs to increase the Seattle offer, and that his interest in Dallas seemed genuine.

yeah i am a mavs fan and hope lewis comes to dallas.it said he was a free adgent and dallas was just going to sign him. if he wants to sign i hope he does

well, lewis can just sign for the median exception w/ the mavs (that means sonics wont get anything in return) or the sonics can do a sign and trade w/ the mavs in which shard will be resigned and then trade him the the mavs...hmm..finley?

either way if finley is out or not watch out for the mavs..

i like finley, dirk, nash but after nash and dirk emerged as stars where has finley gone? he's dissapeared. it seems like its the nash and dirk show..

finley used to be the standout guy on the mavs team before nash, finley emerged as stars. what comes into ur mind when u here the mavs? few yrs ago, finley but now its dirk.

With Shaq missing alot of last season I think his body is taking a toll and won't be the same this year. All the Whopper combo's have slowed down the big man. It's all going to depend on Kobe, he's going to have to run the show alot more. I personally think the Mav's and the Kings will be the teams to beat (I really wish LA played Dallas last year in the playoffs) If Lewis joins the Mav's that will be one of the sickest lineups around. As for all the people thinking LA will win their fourth championship.....4 is a very unlucky number in a few cultures (it means death, bad luck) which I really hope applies to LA because I have had enough of them...... Oh and can the NBA start now.....Geez....all we have to watch is freaking baseball where I fall asleep in the 5th inning....

Lakers will win again.. that's for sure.. Shaq will have rested enough during the off-season.. so what if he's not the Shaq he was 2 years ago? Kobe is still improving and there is still NO ONE that can stop Shaq

Only reason why I went to my last baseball game was for the Bobble head. Man was it ever boring. How do those guys make so much money for just sitting on their *ss in the dugout for so long....or a pitcher! Works only once every few days....now that's a job, getting paid to scratch yourself in public!

Oh and Taker...I think everyone has had enough with the Lakers....it's time for a new champion. We will put a voodoo curse on Shaq and one of his Whopper combo's will be rotten and give him a mad case of food poisoning which would knock him off for the season. We tried it on Kobe but he played with depends adult diapers(to help hold the squirts) now we see Kobe in all the adult diaper commercias..... Dont worry Kobe...will fix you next time.

you KNOW they are the best and they will win again, who cares if you're against them? a lot of ppl were against the Bulls in the 90's (including me), but that doesn't mean you have to say that they won't win.. cauz you KNOW that's not the case

Yes I hated the Bulls then too...I use to cheer for the Lakers and probably would now but I really don't like Kobe. I don't think the Lakers would even come close to winning a championship without Shaq so I hope the big man goes down so I can see if Kobe can lead them to the finals...rib injuries,food poisoning and all....
