1829 Bust half dime attribution help
Is this a LM-16.1? I'm a little stumped on the attribution based on the reverse. Sorry, not my pics but hopefully someone can figure it out. Thanks for the help!

Try this: https://groovycoins.com/attribution
That's my website - so I know it's trustworthy to click on!
Also suggest you look at the obverse, Star 1 (aka "S1" on that attributor). And look at the shield's vertical lines (called Pale Gules - there are either 2, usually very visible, or 3, which can be smushed down into a thick bar in most places).
I'll check back in later!

Awesome website! I believe it's a LM-2. The S1 tip is great! Thank you Sir!
That's a neat tool! It'd be nice if you could attribute all your coins this way.
Why isn't AI able to do these or is that in the distant future?
AI can't create attribution tools from scratch, because the volume of photo data is not enough.
It works better to use books which have already figured out the structure (die marker patterns) to do attributions.
AI (computer vision) does work to attribute coin types, though.
AI can also help a little with the coding for making an online interactive attribution tool like this.
So, I will readily admit that AI was involved - just not in the direct recognition. I use a tool called Claude by Anthropic to make that site function. It's pretty amazing stuff! But yeah, I agree with @yosclimber that the population of good images to train on is really sparse.
@Manorcourtman - as you probably already know - you nailed it with LM-2!
