SBA PR70 DCAM grading opinion

I recently bought this coin Susan B Anthony PR70 DCAM on ebay from a dealer, Sirius Auctions, they have hundreds of thousands of feedback and a 99.7% positive rating and they sell several of these coins at once. When I got the coin I immediately noticed what appears to be some kind of discoloration in the middle of the device so the frosting is not perfect and really shows on the photo attached and is visible without any magnification to the left of the eye right in the center. Does this detract it from being a PR70 DCAM? I was not expecting it since it's suppose to be the highest grade closest to perfection as you can get. It's not a valuable coin but I was getting it to complete a set I have. Not sure if I'm being to picky here.

If it bothers you now, it'll only get worse. Just move along to a coin you can feel better about.

While hard to judge from a single image, I see what looks like a possible blemish between the eye and ear, and discoloration on the cheek and upper lip. I cannot judge the completeness of the cameo from this image alone.

Give Blood (Red Bags) & Platelets (Yellow Bags)!

Yes, that's the one going vertical from about where the cheek bone would be.

I’ve had 69s in 70 slabs before. Sell and replace if it bothers you. Graders look at these moderns for about half a second, so unfortunately things like this slip through.

Nothing is as expensive as free money.

I think I would ask for a better pic.

    Ask who? The OP?

You can ask, but it's still a Type 1. The Type 1 1981 looks like the Type 2 1979

  • I decided to ask the seller for an exchange. They agreed and will be sending me a label. Hopefully the second time is a charm.
