You can be sure that the person who originally bought it paid more than what it is worth today. The coins are common, so not high value. Hopefully the person who bought it enjoyed it at the time and did not expect it to be an investment with a positive return.
According to the description there is $3.50 in silver clad, but the bottom right dollar looks like an uncirculated silver clad dollar and it is not on the list. Roughly $60 for silver value. I imagine the set must be worth near $100 retail.

I don't know. It's a nice looking set. The case is probably worth more then the coins.
