I picked up another Society of Medalists medal, this time by John Flanagan, issued the same year as the debut of the Washington quarter.

The medal looks like it is in very nice condition. It appears to be the 6.2 variety with the glossy hematite red finish. Reported production of all bronze types was 1,494. An additional 125 were produced in silver in 1993 for a telemarketing promotion.

    All glory is fleeting.
