The show was FANTASTIC! I set up at the show, on the far left side against the wall. This was the best show I have had in years, especially since I seldom setup. LOL! Everything was selling! I sold a $3 gold piece, a set of ANACS certified BU Mercury dimes 1940-1945 PDS with micros S, proof sets, mint sets, Washington quarters, Lincoln cents, collector coins, bullion and a lot of medals and misc from the "junk" box.
.
Attendance was very good on Friday with 651 and today (Saturday) was light with 292. Every dealer said they had anywhere from a great to a phenominal show.
.
The food was the usual, but I was so busy I did not get to go out to the concession stand and buy anything. The ANACS rep was swamped and did not get away from his table on Friday until the show closed.
.
There was a problem with a thief. I was at my table and one of the security guards came over and said he was going to stand and watch the guy in the blue coat at another table because he was pocketing coins. About 10 minutes later the security guard tapped me on the arm and said he was ending the guys shoplifting spree. He walked over placed his hand on the guy's shoulder, the guy about jumped out of his skin and security told him the game was over. The thief had on cargo pants and had each pocket full of coins, which were all recovered and returned to the dealer. I will be sending the information and pictures to Doug Davis with all the guy's information. We had no other security problems.
.
Next Thanksgiving we are going to plan a catered dinner on Thursday for the dealers in the hotel and open the floor at 1-8pm for dealers to setup their cases, coins and have a dealer day. This Thursday was brisk with dealer to dealer transactions. I figured since I have to pay for the room on Thursday, we might as well use it. Most of the dealers liked the idea.
.
If you have not attended a Gettysburg Coin Show, please do so. We have a lot of fun and all the dealers are very congenial and enjoy themselves. The next show is April 2-4, 2026.

I really would like to set up at this show (world coins, mostly Latin American). I just need to get off my butt and overcome the inertia.

Just wondering how that thief could keep loading his cargo pants pockets full of coins without the dealer noticing. Unless he pocketed them from multiple dealers.
    Glad the picker got nailed.

Successful transactions:Tookybandit. "Everyone is equal, some are more equal than others".
