I believe that Butterbean is gonna knock Mr. Holmes out! GOOOOOOOOOOO Butterbean! image
  • Can you imagine the rumble if both fell at the same time?
  • Boxing is becoming more like the WWE everyday. This bout proves it!
What a sad sad joke. What used to be an awesome sport has been reduced to this. The late great fighters are rolling over in their graves! Ali & some of the others still alive have to be embarassed!

  • I have a different take on it. Holmes has to be put on a list one the greatest boxers ever. Being a fan myself,I'd love the chance to see him one more time. Even if he is 50. He's not taking it real serious,he just wants to be the oldest guy to box or something like that. A lot of younger kids were never able to see him box.
That's why a lot of the youngsters are rootin' for Butterbean. They don't really know Holmes and what he's done. And they like the novelty aspect that Butterbean brings.

For example,Joe Montana was my favorite FB player. Grew up watchin' him. Even though he would be useless as a player nowadays, and as much as a farce as it would be to see him get back in there, that would be exciting to me to see him...ONE MORE TIME.

  • I think that the younger kids and fans of the sport should root for their favorites and when an OLD man drags a pathetic shell of his past greatness into a modern day sport it will only degrade his once greatness. LH was one of the greatest Boxers to fight in the division, maybe the greatest jab ever, but, this fight puts a typewriter in a room full of Pentium Computers and expects the typewriter to excel. (a typewriter is a manual media machine that pre dates the PC and post dates the pencil, about the same age as Larry) George Foreman's brut size was what kept him from humiliation. Larry has taken too many head shots......sure canidate for serious injury. If you noticed I didn't boast about ANY possible skills that the other fat guy MIGHT have, youth is what he brings to this farce being called a boxing match. To defend the sport, when you have top named fighters that don't want to fight other GOOD fighters this is what the result is. Larry's chance might be to rub viagra on his right arm, at least that way he'd hav a stiff jab.........
