Thoughts on these Cal Ripken and Dale Murphy signed cards? - SOLVED
Both were sent to the players (in care of their stadiums) in the mid-1980's. I had heard for a long time that Dale Murphy used an autopen and I suspect that's how this card was 'signed'. The Ripken one seems like it is possibly stamped. I have always held both of these signatures with suspicion in my collection.

ripken definitely looks stamped to me. I do see some shakyness in the D in Dale that seems indicitive of an autopen.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Correct about the Ripken being rubber stamped (that's how TTM's were handled for a bit early in his career)

Thanks for the input on these cards. I fully believe the Ripken is a stamp. I remembered I had another Dale Murphy signed TTM card and dug it up. The signature is EXACTLY like the Action All Star card. No way someone could replicate it like that. The Murphy has to be an autopen.

Here are a couple Murphy first one is a month old and the second is 10 years.
