    Looks like a Vermont copper. Not sure of the date or variety. Hopefully a specialist can help.

    Vermont copper, kind of rough but the variety may be identifiable. OK, Quick edit. The best I can do is I think, it might be a 1788 RR-16, everything I see matches, but unfortunately there is a lot I can't make out.

    Probably a 1787 or 1788 Bust Right.
    Can you see in hand if it's a 1787 or 1788?

    @ambro51 knows these by die variety and might be able to ID it.

    Head style and orientation makes it look like the common RR-16 to me, but agree that it’s kind of hard to make out. This is my 16, for comparison.
