Hammered @ $193,500.00! For me, the 1792 H10C will be forever elusive, but a fascinating piece of history. And, at this level, seldom seen!

I was following it over the weekend although I never entered a bid.
It would be interesting to know if the winning bidder ever put his own or a trusted pair of eyes on the coin. I think the price was solid if not spectacular. Same coin in the same holder auctioned in 2013 for $152,000.

No CAC sticker.

I could live with that, I'm sure gonna miss umm woman never mind 🤔
Typical dreck.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
My guess is GC would have suggested attempting it & either the seller refused or it didn’t pass. Only speculation - still a great coin without it. JMO.

Nice
A nice one. I was watching it.
It has a sheen on the surfaces, and my original thought when I saw the greatphotos is that it’s been cleaned at some point.
Do you guys think it looks AU?
Just curious because I see alot of wear on the high points. Its still a great piece of history and likely sold for what it should have.

I noticed that and was watching it. I’m guessing it was submitted and failed. But, It’s a great coin with or without a sticker.

Nice coin
A lot of what you're seeing is strike deficiency.
It was crudely done, as the U.S. minting process was in it's infancy.

to me, the eagle resembles a cartoon chicken that is surprised at its ability to fly. Might be the most charming issue from the early Mint.
Seems cheap since a cac p01 sold for over 100k. 😂 not too long ago …
Yep. Wow indeed.
