MN Coin Bullion Dealer law - Your chance to take action!

In 2013 the Minnesota Legislature passed a draconian law, now called the Minnesota Bullion Dealers law. It was Minnesota's effort to burden a disfavored industry in their mind. It burdens not only Minnesota Dealers but anyone that deals at least $25,000 in Minnesota transactions (there is a coin show exemption thank goodness).

Some of you have been following my multi-year effort to get the Minnesota Bullion Dealers law thrown out as unconstitutional. I had success at the 8th Circuit court of appeals, as they declared the law unconstitutional. Unfortunately the courts then just rewrote the law usurping the power of the legislature.

We just filed our petition to the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS). While SCOTUS takes only a small percentage of the cases we have a real chance because of the broadly applicable issues involved.

Our best chance to get the court to take the case is to get Amicus Curiae briefs (aka friend of the court briefs) in support of our petition.

If you know of an organization, or a lawyer that could write an Amicus brief in support of our petition that would be awesome. If not please donate money to amicus brief support through the ISueGov.com website. They also have a very nice power point presentation so check that out even if you cannot donate.

I also encourage you to post this to any group, and forward it to friends, you think might be able to help.
