Subnitting pack grading at show

When submitting pack grading at show, what does PCGS put the packs in to take back to HQ for grading, one of my customers who is having me submit several packs for grading at Baltimore show, is concerned about corners of the packs getting bumped during the process??
He currently has them in hard cases, but I told him I dont thing PCGS will aloow those and will have to remove them to submit them

I think they would be safe so the insurance company doesn't get involved.
