Pretty cool. If I recall correctly we have a PCGS member who has a pair of 1839 half dollars, including an 1839-O, in one of these dual holders.

That’s cool. Never saw a dual sample slab.

Nice pair although I would have asked for a WWII Coinage Act label. Are sample labels cheaper or something?

Saw one like this that Whitman had on ebay. Not my thing.

I believe the Sample labels were produced when these dual holders were introduced, perhaps a decade ago. I don't think this was something just done recently.

I have seen other sample slabs with advertisers on them, Collectors.com comes to mind.

Interesting... Joel has been a prolific creator of unusual "samples" (FASTCOIN).

There are other dual war coin samples, unusual in the choice of higher grade coins, such that the coins alone have significant value.

Cool, all I have seen for sale are Silver Eagles in dual holders.

I wonder if you could get two coins reholdered into one of those. Something like a matched pair of 1909 cents or 1907 DE's etc.

I'm such a sucker for coins with different designs from the same year but storage would be a nightmare considering my Eagle albums. thanks for posting, did not know these existed, James
