This 1909-S Lincoln in an earlier holder has retained all of its brilliance and red color. No question. I can’t believe it looked much different when it was minted 116 years ago.

Lovely coin. After my dad passed away some years ago, I was put in charge of selling his small collection (which got me started collecting!); in it was a very red 09-S. Wish I had held onto it!

@Coinscratch, @Raybo, @Morgan White, all funny responses. PCGS labeled RD, as in RED! Ha. But I like all your descriptions too. Zack.

Really like this one, sweet!
Thanks everyone for your colorful descriptions!
Reminds me of a composite holiday image Shylock did many years ago!
