Wilmington Card Show

I went to the Wilmington card show over the weekend looking for a 1933 Goudey Lou Gehrig #160. I already have #92. Of course, there were only 2 dealers who had #160. The first dealer's card was beautiful but a bit out of my price range. The second dealer had one in poorer condition but was already in the middle of working out a deal with someone as I approached the table. They ended up making a deal, so I didn't get the card. It was an SGC 1 and it looked as if someone either took a hole puncher and notched out a piece of the bottom edge or it was stored tightly with an elastic band and cut into the card deeply. I was bummed I did not get it, but I was thinking that it might be for the best because this is a special card for me and I should wait until one comes along that presents better. At least that is what I am saying to myself.

Take your time and land one with superior eye appeal for the grade. It is an iconic card, and there are a decent number of them that come up for sale.
