The required coin: The 1961 50C DDR Proof is listed as a variety within this registry set. I have a 1961 50C DDR FS-802 Certification number 12465180. For some reason the series won't recognize this coin... even though this variety is one of several known doubled die reverses (DDRs) for the 1961 Proof Franklin Half Dollar, though not the most dramatic. The much stronger FS-801 variety is also a significant entry in this set. Can someone either explain why it won't accept it or provide some guidance to get it recognized? Thanks R/John

The set you are talking about says what the required coins are. That means those are the ones NEEDED, not others you want to include. You need the 1961 FS-801, the major DDR. not FS-802 or FS-803 the minor ones. See what I mean?

The major varieties are the 1956 type 1 and 2 reverse and the major 1961 DDR (the FS-801).
To get your FS-802 added, you need to start/put it in the complete variety set

Yeah, but the set you directed me to isn't the same set I'm referring to... the set I'm trying to get this coin added to is the
"Franklin Half Dollars with Major Varieties, Proof (1950-1963)"
the set you are referring to is
"Franklin Half Dollars Complete Variety Set, Proof (1950-1963)"
see what I'm talking about now? I appreciate the help... let me know your thoughts
Ahhh I get it now, thanks for the explanation. much appreciated.
