"A World of Coins" is located in Littleton, a suburb south of Denver
The shop website ( https://aworldofcoins.com/under-new-ownership ) lists Craig Spencer as the new owner as of 17 July 2020.

I think I visited the shop one or maybe two times. I did not know Mr. Spencer very well, but I believe I had a few interactions with him over the years at Denver-area coin shows.

While visiting a different local shop recently, there was some talk of an "incident" that occurred at Spencer's coin shop. I hope that is not the case. I do not have any information to elaborate on, and there has been no mention of anything in the local media.

Oh no, I havn't been there in a couple months. Thanks for the update Dan.
Last time I was there I bought a gold coin for my youngest step brother as a wedding gift. Bought a handful of wonderful things over the last few years from him.
I've known Craig for quite a few years before he bought the coin shop...didn't spend time with him on the personal side of things but I was somewhat regular at the shop. Originally met him playing poker tournaments many years ago and we would see each other regularly there. He hadn't played as many tournaments during the last couple years. He told me all about his more recent Vegas trip last time I saw him, he truly enjoyed that.
I'll stop by the shop this weekend.
Genuinely a really nice guy and he and I would harass each other a bit for knowing coins too well when I was buying things from him. I really liked him...RIP Craig and condolences to his family.

I just received confirmation that the passing of Mr Spencer did not have anything to do with any "incident" at his coin shop.
That is a relief, although still sad for the passing.
