Heavily worn coins question
in Q & A Forum
Hi, As I said elsewhere, I just have maybe 100 coins that my step grandpa left in a box. I'm just trying to figure out what any potential value is and where to sell etc. I've already determined that probably 90% are only worth their content in silver.
So. a couple more questions:
According to "Coin Snap" app, the following pictures are:
an 1820-o Liberty Cap dime FR worth $23
an 1868 Union Shield nickel - no rays AG worth < $24
and
an 1870 Canadian dime FR worth $5.36
Do ANY coins such as these actually have any value to anyone?

I would just put them in my scrap silver pile and sell them .
Can’t really see anyone buying them for more.
Not even good lowball candidates with the damage.
Any rare dates might heve a little value but what you've shown is damaged, heavily worn, or both.
On that note... I have this one, that the app. says is my "most valuable coin." USA Draped Bust Dollar-Small Eagle - 1798 13 stars. Grade FR $1740.00

Anyhing there ya think?
I'm seeing a Seated Liberty instead of a Draped Bust.
I think you're right. ty
Not only that but also looks like a counterfeit.
