Selling for Silver content.

Does anyone have any advice for a beginner regarding finding a place to sell coins (like 40 silver dollars and another 10-20 smaller) for silver content? (besides just taking my chances with a google search?) Where is the "best" place? - ty

If you are just selling for bullion value, you can take them
to any local gold and silver dealer. You should get close to
bullion value for them. I just took a pile of my extra silver
coins to one and sold them with no problem.

The one place I see in Duluth MN has this notice up on their website.... Are people running into that everywhere? (I assume that includes coins?)

"Due to a global financial power struggle, silver scrap is no longer being accepted at any US refinery across the entire market. The Gold Guys are not able to purchase any forms of scrap silver such as pre-65 junk silver, silver plate, and sterling silverware at this time. We will service you as always once this situation is resolved. Thank you for your understanding."

Maybe that is just in the US then, I sold mine a couple of days ago and
have more to take in on Monday.

"The Gold Guys" name sounds like one of those gold buyers that pays on the low side. Whether or not that's true I don't know, and I am aware that silver refiners are backed up, but you might want to shop around.
