Americas first Commemorative Dollar the 1900 Lafayette Dollar.
Featuring Dual portraits of General Marquis De Lafayette and President George Washington.
The Coin Symbolizes the friendship, admiration, and Respect the two men shared for one another with both men sharing a portrait on the Obverse. The Reverse features a statue erected by the youths of the General Lafayette riding his steed on the banks of the Seine River, in Paris France.
