Bank of Virginia 1861 $1

I have the following note. I am not sure if it is real, especially given the back (blank with what looks like an old piece of tape on it).

I was able to find an almost identical one on a Harvard University site (https://curiosity.lib.harvard.edu/american-currency/catalog/66-W366292_URN-3:HBSBAKERAC:1142133). The city, date and signatures are the same (very minute but discernible differences in handwriting). The 4 digit serial number is the only real difference.

I thought it was likely a reproduction but the hand written information on the one in my possession seems to be of a slightly different color than what is printed. Any thoughts on authenticity or any other information is appreciated.

it definitely looks to be from that era (when blank reverses were not unusual) and not a modern reproduction.
