Today marks the 75th year anniversary of the Steelers/Browns rivalry. The first meeting between the two teams was October 7th, 1950. The Steelers lead the series 82-64-1

I was 10 years old when I attended my first Pittsburgh vs. Cleveland game. At that time the rivalry was played on Saturday Night in old Municipal Stadium. They were wild and rowdy affairs.

Thats cool that you went to one of those games at such a young age. Probably a time you will never forget. For decades it was once one of the greatest rivalries in sports.

My Dad, all my Uncles and relatives went to games from the early 1950's and had an entire upper deck row, Row H in Section 19. My seat looked almost straight down along the Browns bench from the closed end of the field. In 1965 I split a season pass with my Cousin and starting in 1966 we each had passes. I went to all the games until I left for College. Saw some great, old time players and was witness to some games which still are fresh in my memory.

Sweet! Did you happen to go to any of the 70's games when the Steelers had Bradshaw and company?

Back in 1979 my family went to.Foxboro and saw Pittsburgh play against the Patriots, my father was/is a big Steelers fan

I was only 9 and a couple things stick out to me to this day, there was some woman sitting next to us that was yelling "C'mon Terry" but it sounded like "C'mon Taaaariiii" lol

We had seats at the far end of the stadium and a parking lot was right there outside the back gate and I saw so many fights I'll never forget it

Yeah, I went to games through 1973, after that it was college and the USN till 1979. The early 1970's ushered in the Chuck Noll era when things started to change, albeit slowly at first. Me and my Dad used to laugh about the "Quarterback Carousel" the Steelers employed --- Bradshaw would play the 1st half and Terry Hanratty would play the 2nd half and vice-versa, seems like they did that for a few years till they settled on Bradshaw.

During the late 60's Cleveland had RB Leroy Kelly and Pittsburgh had MLB Andy Russell. I can still hear the in-stadium announcer saying "Kelly the ballcarrier, tackled by Rrrrrussell."

Then you probably also got to see Jefferson street Joe Gilliam, who was pretty popular back in those days. Russell was one heck of a linebacker. Should be in the HOF.
