2024 Silver Flowing Hair Medal

I am considering purchasing a 2024 silver Flowing Hair Medal (non-privy) as a gift for a relative. He only collects slabbed coins, so I’d probably be looking at an MS69 from CACG or PCGS.
I don’t plan to buy on Ebay, but have been looking around there to get an idea on price. For the same type of label (eg, advance release, first day of issue, etc), the price of a CACG coin looks to be about the same as a PCGS coin. If this is the case, is there any reason to choose one grading company over the other for this type of coin?
Thank you in advance for your advice.

if he collects only slabbed, then he knows the difference between a 69 and 70
go big
which is more liquid currently?
Yeh, maybe an MS70. How does one know which is more liquid? Just by the quantity listed for sale?
compare prices sold. compare number of each sold.
look at how many of each are open
I have an MS69 PCGS coin purchased on ebay for 225. Not once have I pined for an MS70 at a hundred dollars more
Commems and Early Type
On modern non-circulation, I myself shoot for MS/PF70 in NGC or PCGS. Before looking at what the current market is I check the population reports at both to get a sense of the numbers, both how many in 70 and the difference between a 69. If the difference is minimal, I'll search for one that reflects this. Which often requires patience, and I have an abundance of it.
In your case, and not sure if this is a birthday, Christmas or other time limit purchase, something else may appear instead and you could put it off for a while. The reason I'm proposing this is simple. The 2024 Flowing hair, while popular by design, is no different than any other modern commemorative/medal whereby the popularity today fades over time. More often than not as soon as the next "hot" coin is released. Personally, and of my own opinion, I would think these would drop by 25% from the current values in 2-5 years before leveling off somewhat.
I recently bought one on eBay….so if you look for the dealers you can sometimes go to their ‘normal’ non-eBay website and save a bit more. I would recommend trying to get one with the OGP though. Sometimes those boxes/COA are worth their weight in …silver…😉
