Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong posted on the X platform that 16 years ago today, you could buy 1,309 bitcoins for just $1. He pointed out that this was the first valuation of Bitcoin in dollars, calculated based on the electricity costs of mining Bitcoin at that time.

I know there are selling HyperSUI right now for well less than a penny.

The crypto market had a big crash on Friday where many that had bought on margin through perps got liquidated out. It stabilized today and had a rally, but it shows how crypto is not like gold as some claim repeatedly.
