ebay question about buyers waiting a week to pay.
If a buyer wins a auction and takes more than 4 days to pay(hasn't paid), can the seller cancel the order without the buyer being able to leave negative feedback?

It's incredibly difficult on modern eBay to leave negative feedback. 4 days is the default time limit after which a seller can cancel the sale if a buyer has no paid. The buyer would not be allowed to leave negative feedback.
When I click on cancel the order, there is no ''buyer hasn't paid option. On the view order details it says ''autopay at oct 5.'' which would be 7 days after the auction ended.

I do not consider myself an eBay expert, so I hope you get some more authoritative advice. In your seller profile or preferences you can choose how long you want to allow for payment. I think the default is 4 days, but you can enable requiring immediate payment, or disable their default and set your own. Maybe 7 days is the new 4 days.
Optimistically, it used to be that sometimes if you had an international buyer, or something, there would be a wait on funds. Kind of like a hold.
If you just want to cancel, the last time I had that problem, I called eBay. They suggested I lie on the questions about my reasons for doing things through the site. I told them I wanted to do the things without lying. They didn't have a better option for me.
Last week, for the first time ever, I think, I was unable to get a human at eBay on the phone to complain to. However, the site ended up resolving my problem for me with automation after some number of days.
It seems to me that eBay has made the site more difficult to use in the past 5 years or so.
I assume ebay is now giving up to 7 days to pay on certain transactions. So, I was just wondering if a seller cancels the order before the 7 days, if the buyer is still able to leave negative?

The Autopay 7day thing is a newer thing, in case the winner wants to buy more from you I guess (i'd imagine this is not an option if you have no other listings running at the time of auction close).. I have settings set for auto cancel after 4days, but it doesn't cancel the 7day auto pay ones. (I had other listings running)
What are the cancel options you get?
AI says you have 4 days to pay if you win. After 4 days the seller can cancel and the buyer gets an unpaid item strike.
I believe that may be the new “default “ time but I’m not sure anymore with ebay
