Are we going to soon be in a world with only MS/PR/SP70 modern silver, gold and platinum?

As I scrap more and more of my 69 and lower graded moderns I have to think there has to be a general decline in surviving moderns and a higher and higher percentages of 70 graded coins among those that do survive..............

    if the underlying metal prices go up enough, we may see fewer 70s

    True. Many 70s are trading at melt so they could be melted too. It would make sense that the 69 or lower grades would go first but in certain series there might not be much of a difference.

  • I would not want to try to trade it but it would be interesting to know surviving percentages for the various modern commemorative coins and spouses.

    No - not to worry.

    Furthermore,
    Not all mods make 70 lol. Further more CDN value ranges for better date Mexico silver Libertads can vary by grade. Investors in these areas know this. At a recent club meeting everybody agreed bullion prices have pushed up many US and World slabbed bullion coins. And then CDN MV for grades across the board. Then when u throw in CACG on many US mods, bullion issues the fun starts, let the games begin (low pops).

    Many invest in mod bullion coins like Mexico Libertads. CPG for better date slabbed Mexico Libertads can vary by grade. Many really low pop and investors in these earlier in time super profits. Got into them early on when a CDN article highlighted them. Also- The market for graded MS 69 Britannias is strong. Picked up a slabbed 69 for $4 over melt the other day. Then w BV increasing the fun accrues. I feel at times US Classic has been beaten to death. Recently sold some CACG ASE st show. However picked up an another CACG seated US coin real low pop recently. Then to retail inventory.

    I realize many out there are ignorant of world coin CDN values but this field is in a steady expansion. Many have already banked since bid / CPG came out / fun, low pop, great retail potential coupled with increasing BV. RCI winners.

    Sounds like investment opportunity. Don’t have any those either.

    May take a look at some slab 69 or 70. W BV increasing tough to lose on that.

    This will assist the future equalization of bullion value, regardless of grade;

    Now riding the swell in PM's and surf.
