I had a customer in today that has these 8 Trade Dollars. I have zero knowledge of these, and am wondering if there are any red flags on these coins. All weigh 27-27.2 grams. Thanks!!!

At a quick glance, they appear fine but some fakes are very high quality and can be quite subtle.
However, the pictures are bad, sideways, and it's impossible to pair obverse and reverse.
So...probably ok but not definitive.

The coins appear to be genuine as the denticles and stars look correct. You need to pair the photos of each coin as to sort out die matches and type 1 and type 2. For example in 1875 and 1876 both type 1 and type 2 were used, and in 1874 and 1873 only type 1 was used, and in 1877 and 1878 only type 2 were used. There is one CC reverse that looks like it could be the 1875 CC that is one of the common CC date.
I will take some better pics. Thanks all!
someting like that but with larger photos
i assume those 2 go together. not the close crop on the images
I sent these 8 coins to our host, received the grades today. All 8 are genuine, and all were graded Details 94 Altered Surfaces, some AU some XF. A mix of good and bad I guess.
Can you share the order or the cert numbers so we can have a closer look?

Those are a cool lot and better than I thought they were from the original pics. Agreed they have had a crude chemical stripping /dipping

Too bad about the Altered Surfaces designation; that's a cool set of coins.
