are these for the same coin?

neither photo is good enough to give an opinion

Sure the photos are good enough to give an opinion. At the very least, the coin’s color looks questionable and it’s not worth getting graded.

Will you tell us when the 1966 error half dollar comes across your desk in a shiny new slab? Pretty please!

Yess of course I'm sending them out very soon.

    Out where?

    To pcgs

When you say "pcgs", do you mean Professional Coin Grading Service? Just wondering if you are sending the coins to a real place.

A 40% silver half should read 80% silver on the Sigma because that's the purity of the silver used for "bread" in this copper sandwich.

Can we see your 1975 No S dime. It would be the 3rd known to exist.

  • I’m sure someone here has said this but what you are seeing is mechanical doubling maybe even pull away corrosion, damage . All pocket change it seems friend. If you search the forums there are a lot of really good references to see the difference between shelf doubling and true double dies. Maybe next time do a little more research before posting as this group has seen many of the same questions before. (I did this a lot as a newbie)
If you have any questions on coins or doubling I’d be happy to help ya out just send me a message
    Good luck hunting

Send it in. You'll find out what it's worth.

    You're no fun :o
    Let me interject...
Seems you're sigma tester isn't set on the right settings?
Reset the sigma, take the 1966 half out of the 2x2 cardboard and get an accurate weight on a digital 4 decimal point scale.
The dime looks like something someone stacked together and hit with a MiG welder.

The colorful cents are cool, but I can make a whole uncirculated roll of them with a garden hose and Fire.

From my experience if there's value in what you've posted someone here will message you and offer to buy it from you. So check your messages and if there are no offers to buy, I'd say they're not worth more than face value or bullion value.
