1964/66 Danmark 5 Ore lamination?

Quite interesting huh? I haven't seen anything like this!! I wanna say its a lam or some type of die deterioration. Be cool if that was a rim cud but judging by everything else, idk if it can be a cud.
Thanks for looking.

It looks for all the world like something has been stuck to the surface at various places, like drops of glue. Which makes me suspect that that's exactly what you've got: a coin that was glued onto something, and later removed. Dried transparent glue can look exactly like bits of metal stuck tot he surface of a coin, and usually comes in patches just like what we're seeing on this coin. The way that the raised patches are a slightly different colour on the 1966 coin certainly makes me lean even more towards that theory.
So what you need to do with these two coins, first of all, is try to disprove my hypothesis by getting some acetone, giving the coin a nice long soak, and seeing if the defects are still there or if they've dissolved away.

Apparently I have been awarded the DPOTD twice.
So i tried that, and i even used a qtip with acetone and scrubbed pretty hard lol didnt affect it not even a little bit. I soaked it for a while and still the same. I think this might be some type of lamination. Maybe it looks like that cause of diff metal content.? But yeah i was convinced it would come off too but… idk now lol it doesnt seem like it would be soldering cause its too thin and seems apart of the coin. Lol maybe it could be that but idk.
Hm. Tough crowd. > @Sapyx said:
