Apparently found by a young person and brought into one of my local LCS. They asked me for help. Now I'm asking you.

The four figures on the top coin are triquetras.
My guess is that this is some kind of fantasy coin.

The "alphabet" on this coin vaguely resembles symbols from the Cherokee syllabary, though I suspect this is coincidence and it's merely a fantasy alphabet for a fantasy coin. I would suspect a 19th or early 20th century "magician's token"; such items are often covered in arcane-looking symbols.
