Be Care this weekend. Please see note below from MELTDOWN.

Hey all,
MELTDOWN got message pop-up when he went to log in to CU, that an administrator changed something to his account. He was then was "banned." He thinks he might be hacked. Please don't buy anything from MELTDOWN until he can clear this up.
Thanks!

so far, not banned
if he's using a vpn or even perhaps tor, then maybe the forum has ip specific bans
Does that explain this?
(he said I could post it)
Genuine ask.
delete that email!!!
no it doesn't explain it
maybe a forum glitch?
so, a hack attempt via pop-up?
dunno
Just a reminder to never click links in an email.
Always open your browser and go to a website directly.
There are scammers who will send a very convincing email that will appear it comes from the website you use. You click the link and it brings you to forums.collectorps.com or some other slightly-one-off version.
You enter your login name and password to the fake convincing website and the thief snatches it.
You can avoid this entirely by never opening links in email.
Also never share passwords between a website or payment processor or really anything else.
Always be suspicious whenever one of these attempts sends you a "warning" or "act now!" type of message. The panicked mind doesn't think rationally or carefully and scammers exploit you when you're scared or rushed.
Let me reinforce this. Even though it's inconvenient, never re-use a password. Always use a unique password for each website or app login.
Recommend same strategy for text messages too.
