Fairly obscure non sport Topps set for car people

If not for the fact that I don't have a garage, I would be the owner of a collector car (first gen Mustang was always the dream car).
I recently stumbled upon this 1976 Topps set known as "Autos of 1977". It is a 99 card set (98 cars plus the checklist). The set reminds me of 1971 Topps baseball (I wonder why!). I think a big issue with the set is that the era was overrun with very forgettable cars. The ones shown here are probably the most interesting and some '70's cars are getting more interest in the collecting hobby. I threw in a sample of the backs as well.

I've always liked the design of these cards. Top part of the card is of the style of 1971 Topps as Daniel mentioned, and the name of the car is of the style of 1972 Topps. These are plagued with centering issues just like the Topps baseball issues.

There's no way that MK V Continental is fitting in to a modern car holder.
I love this set. I have the only complete set on the registry. Likely, 95% of all graded cards from this set were submitted by me. But I do have a ton of raw extras as well!
