Carson City Coin Show at the Nevada State Museum

I got a flier for the Coin Show in Carson city, and since it was close to my wedding anniversary, I convinced my wife that we should stop at the show on our way to a vacation in Lake Tahoe. Of course in reality, the Tahoe trip was just a way for me to convince my wife to take the road trip for coins. Two days there was of course beautiful, but in reality I think even she was pretty pleased with the day at the old mint.
The show was small, but had plenty of coins. I made several purchases and talked to a few dealers I hadn’t seen in several years. It was a nice show, and being that there are a couple of coin shops right across the street from the mint, I would say if you are in the area, or can make it through, you will probably enjoy the place.
I wasn’t really prepared for how exciting it was seeing the displays, the exhibits and minting of my souvenirs. For a coin geek, and a person who is fond of Liberty Seated coins, it was really pleased with the whole experience. Even my wife had a good time doing “coin stuff”

Cool! We were there earlier this year as well.
Thanks for posting. I take it that the replica pictured was minted on Coin Press Number One?

Yes. The pictures were taken while they were striking and packaging my token.
