Do auctions houses issue 1099's on Coin Sales?

I gave Googled this but every site seemed to be dated and things change. I know that regardless if a 1099 is issued you still have an obligation to report gains on your taxes.

    Not that I’ve experienced.

    To do so would require them to know your SSN.

    No.

    I don’t sell on eBay but I had heard they were going to start issuing 1099’s on sales greater than $600.
