Is it possible to buy raw PL or DMPL coins on ebay?

Or do you think they have been sent in for grading already and cracked out for one reason or another?
I think its possible but a very thin chance.

Anything is possible. I would prefer to make those kind of purchases after seeing the coin in hand.

Agree very slim chance today. 20+ years ago not as hard, I found a few on EBAY and at a decent price for some of the common date Morgans. Plus think there is a lot more manipulative practices today with photo enhancements.

Too many juiced pics with unreliable descriptions by some of the known promoters there.

I’ve gotten a few Morgans that got either PL or DMPL at PCGS.

    Many happy BST transactions

Yes, it's still possible, but you have to sift through a ton of garbage to find one. And chances are it will be one of the common dates like an 80-S or similar.

Too many angled pictures with bad descriptions.

So the majority of us feel the same. I have returned 5 coins this month to different sellers. I am fortunate enough to have a P.O. close to me.

You can buy from Denver Coins and they are all PL/DMPL :D

I bought an “MS” barber quarter they had listed….and sent it in. PCGS graded it as a proof….and the PCGS listed value was much higher than I paid for it. So I got at least one win…. I will post a big/nice score I recently got off eBay from a different seller…..(at least it is nice to me. 😉)

You are a nightmare for any seller...

Try a couple and find out.

Chances are the seller already tried getting it slabbed. Or it could be a details crackout.

YMMV. There is no free ride in numismatics.
