Important Request for Anyone Taking the PCGS Grading Challenge at the ANA Show - Data Processed

I've been informed that all contestants will be able to view a spreadsheet of the guesses people provide on the grading test at the ANA.

I would be highly appreciative of any participant that could forward that to me, since I am unable to take part. It would be highly useful for research purposes.

Thanks!

maybe pcgs can do some post-processing and post guesses and analysis(like what you're doing now) online

I fully intend to compare it to the GTG results I'm doing now.

I have the data from NGC's 2024 contest (the one I participated in), but two datasets is always better than one.

I remember years ago at FUN David Hall held this contest and said anybody who gets 75% correct starts Monday.

    Here’s the document for you:

Coin #20 (the walking liberty half) was perhaps the trickiest of the group, and I even told Abby it was covered with the starting of pvc and should details grade, but would probably still straight grade. PCGS claims it’s a ms65 according to the answer guide.

I thought the coin was fine, didn't really seem like it was terrible sludgy PVC.

I asked for permission to view only results and received it (I was signed in on google chrome)

It is a spreadsheet with 55 rows for the 53 contestants (by entry number) with 24 columns with their answers
    3 circulated AG03, F12, AU58 2 no grades damage, counterfeit

page 2 of spreadsheet shows Q#, correct answer, acceptable alternates. suffix
I cut and pasted some of page 2 below but columns all messed up

Question # Correct Grade Acceptable Alternates Suffix
    Q1 MS64 RB MS60, MS61, MS62, MS63, MS65, MS66, MS67, MS68, MS69, MS70 RB

    Q8 AG03 AG02
    Q9 MS67 MS60, MS61, MS62, MS63, MS64, MS65, MS66, MS68, MS69, MS70

I went ahead and processed the data here, the in person graders averaged 1.197 grade off on twenty coins. I threw out one entire grader as they had some (most) statistically significant outlying grades, so they were not included in the data.

The forums have been averaging 0.9 grades off based on images. NGC in person graders averaged 2.5 grades off.
