1961 Dime - Newby Question

Hello,
I'm not certain if I have a dime with a cool error, or just a dime that has been around the block more than once. I hold on to coins that look different/odd & I finally decided to get some insight from experienced collectors.

Better photos 1961 dime
Post Mint damage. Not an error. At least it’s silver.
If you are referring to the rim, then that is just damage, not an error.
I would to see a close up photo of this area, cause SOMETHING, did happen there.

This coin was struck with a D through the W in WE.
3 more and I can call it struck through WD 40.

I'm not great at up close photos, but I really think something went astray with the TRUST

Unless you can explain how that could happen during the striking of the coin, then it is damage.
