I have a few WLH's I like them almost as much as Morgan's.
I wanted a challenge for my box of 20 collection.
I am not wealthy.
After some research I found that there are several dates that are tough to find well struck but affordable if your patient.
So I set my sights on the 1942-S.
I found this on my favorite dealers website (Northeast Numismatics).
It is graded by NGC MS65 but to me it looks conservatively graded.
What made me purchase it is that its very well struck especially the left hand I would have bought it if it were a 64 with this strike.
As it is put PCGS app these usually come flat as a pancake and still grade 66.
If you have a 1942-S Post it up. Let's see what you got.

    Very nice coin.

Edit to add you should post it in my thread "Post a beautiful half dollar"

Adding "Walker " to the title would be helpful

Now that's a nice strike. Im hoping mine looks similar in hand.
Your image really shows your coin off nice.
Did you have to search long and hard to find it?

Both the half dollars shown have great hand detail for a 42-S. Oftentimes there is nothing there....

I put together a 33-S to 47-D set of all PCGS 65's. One of my requirements was the thumb had to show. This 42-S is part of the set and it did take a while to find them with a thumb showing.

I think I got lucky when I located the one I purchased.
    The detail is pretty sharp.
