Federal Reserve paper ponders revaluing of gold…

I’m sure the site will spark controversy, but the story is of relevance.

Reads like it could be feasible and why not ?

.
It is a legitimate Federal Reserve paper, published on the FED's website.
Nobody else that I know of has bothered to report on it.
.
There are plenty of interesting articles on the Fed site. The gold one referenced above and below is just one of many that discuss or document research on various aspects of the economy and data.

My US Mint Commemorative Medal Set
Required reading should be on the Fed's activities, it's mandate to watch the dollar and inflation, and the history of the Treasury-Fed Accord of 1951 (very relevant to today).
I personally think gold revaluation is a nothing burger. If anything, it might be BEARISH for gold.
You are correct, it's not a bad article. But I don't think it's going to happen which is what my reference to Infowars alluded to.
Any revaluation might require congressional action related to the 1933-34 gold edicts passed by FDR. My reading of gold and legal documents in various journals and books is not definitive on this.
Of course there are many articles and does it matter which site posted the article? No. But to realize the U.S. holds over 250 million ounces of gold at a statutory price of $42.22 per ounce is / was news to me. I found that alone to be a primary driver as to why one could not use gold as collateral at any bank. And here I thought pawn brokers were lowballing gold prices.

Not sure how old you are, but for me this was 2nd nature since Nixon's NEP speech in August 1971. I was only 9 at the time, but then learned about it later in the decade in HS and in the 1980's in college.
Old enough to have forgotten that the statutory price of $42.22. never changed. Silver nearly caught up and surpassed that price about 14 years ago, as I recall. And I’m 70. Yeah I remember Nixon. He ended the draft when my draft number was #3. And just what was “2nd nature”? yeah, he was the guy who’s signature is on all them GSA Morgan dollar boxes. But we digress.
