Boy these thugs sure look familar , like they could have stopped in my shop traveling up I95. Thing is I dont keep gold and bunch of stuff out on display, And when folks like these ask to see , i dont have any even if I did.
The LCS's in my area all have doors that lock behind you.

Yesterday, I had a group of about 5-6 "traveling gypsy type folks come in all at the same time, looking around" I was by myself and quite nervous, but luckily I didnt have much out on display, and then a few more customers came in, so they left.
Cool, I'm glad they left to

Wooooha! Did someone just say it's officially "TACO™" Tuesday????
Retiring at 55, what day is today?
i would also plan for return
I think it'll be a long time before you see them again
Not sure what the standard is around the country, but at the two LCS's nearest to me (Texas), the front doors are kept locked. You have to be buzzed in and out. One of the LCS's allows only two people in the shop at one time. At the other one, the owner carries a visible sidearm.
visible sidearm-----from experience can be a deterrent or a detriment

Most dealers carry here as well and still all you have to get buzzed in/out. Safety first 👍
You have to be buzzed in and out.
Smart and I bet effective.
